Night at the Races Saturday 20th

The clock is ticking in the countdown to John McGlaughlin’s Night at the Races! The horsepower fuelled extravaganza will be held this Saturday evening in Cookstown’s Greenvale Hotel, and plenty of fun and excitement is guaranteed!

Pre-recorded horse races will be played through the hotel’s television system, and the audience will be allowed to buy tickets to place bets on the winning horse. DVDs and races will be chosen randomly, ensuring nobody knows the result in advance!

And that’s not all! John will reveal his new rally car at the hotel, and there will be a free light buffet for all who attend.

The evening’s festivities will also include a raffle and auction, with plenty of prizes up for grabs. These include:

  • Two vouchers for Junior courses at Superdrive Motorsports Centre (Worth £99 each!)
  • Large signed photo of Kris Meeke pictured during Rally Azores (courtesy of Kris)
  • Two large photographs signed by Kris Meeke (courtesy of Roy Dempster)

The fundraiser, which will be held in association with the FreePlay Foundation and McGlaughlin Motorsport, has already attracted plenty of interest.

The Freeplay Foundation is the world leader in transferring wind-up technology to the poorest people least able to access information and education that could help lift them out of poverty.

Entry to the venue is free, so why not come along and enjoy the craic! Tickets for the pre-recorded horse races can be purchased on the night, so make sure you arrive at the Greenvale Hotel in time for the 7.30pm start!
